C'mon, you can admit it--you missed me terribly!!
...and I missed you crazy kids too....we have so much to catch up on!
For instance, did you know that moi, your very dear friend and style advisor, has been elected to the board of Working Women International? That's right!
Barring a pre-booked style consult, almost every Saturday you can find me at 925 Boutique in Roseville, where I offer free styling....that's right Gang! If you come in on a Saturday, my services are free--and who wouldn't love to let it slide into casual conversation?
--"Hey, that's a nice blouse..."
--"Oh?" [innocent blink] "My stylist picked it out."
I always say to be the star of your own life--what's more star-quality than having a professional stylist pick the best outfit for you, your life and your shape. Come on in to soak up the Katness (shop with me once, I promise you'll leave that dressing room feeling like the supermodel you are)!!
Now, on to our next order of Style business.....break out the briefcases and Gents, straighten those ties for:
ROC The Runway Fashion Show--Heald College Roseville Campus
Ah, a fashion show! To me, as I'm sure you've all guessed by now, fashion shows are always awe inspiring.
If you didn't catch my earlier post about the Shaken Not Stirred fashion event in El Dorado Hills, I suggest checking it out--fierce sums it up.
What you can tell about that show right away though, is it's high fashion--and as much as I pray before the couture altar (oh Chanel, how I love you so...), the runway isn't where most of us spend our lives.
So, where do most of us spend our lives? Work. (Funny that it's a four letter word, huh?)
Since going to work every day is a necessity for most of us, I say to rock that beast! Treat the office like your runway and feel like you can conquer the world in your $9.00 Anne Klein suit from....925 Boutique!
That's exactly what these models did--students of Heald's Roseville campus, many were styled by none other than Yours Truly!! (Not the dapper dudes though--unfortunately, 925 for now is women's fashions only.....stay tuned to Working Women International on Facebook though.....because the lovely Latanya Johnson just might have something up her sleeve for the future....).
Check out the pics and the 8 minute video I'll be posting to Facebook....all the models looked amazing, so grab your pads and pens kids, start taking notes! The following is definitely where you should find inspiration!
Special note--look at how some of the outfits play with color. Pops of green with yellow, fun animal prints (the 'safari' trend is so hot right now)--for cut ladies, note how a nice blazer can nip the waist and balance the girls (add a bold statement necklace and BOOM. Done.)....
And here we have our lovely hosts Darlene & Frances, also wearing 925 Boutique fashions! |
Now--without much further ado (who needs a lot of ado??) are the Heald Roseville models (in no particular order):
Tiffany Lujan, Alison Karr, Angela Pearson, Guy Adams, Nick Munne, Julie Trejo, Candace Dushane, Preston Webster, Jenelle Alvarez & Frances De La Cruz
Well Gang, that's all for now--Kat needs her beauty sleep, and based on the above, YOU have some homework to do on color, cut and fit....right? Email me with any questions: katskoolkloset@gmail.com, or check out my website at katskoolkloset.com (that's right--I'm a domain...HA!).....
Goodnight, and Good Dress!!
XO
Kat
