Here we have our first model, the lovely Madisson:
This is all perfect--an asymmetric hemline is great for the more petite frame (remember, too much length on a shorter frame makes one look closer to the ground....avoid "puddling", ie--too long pants/skirts/dresses). The deep navy hue is sophisticated like black, yet unlike black is cooler on a hot day. Stylish wedges and some bold accessories top off a look that's classy and cool.
Next, we have yours truly in a bold pattern:
The body hugging shape works well for someone such as myself (built like a spider, spindly and nothin' but legs....chuckle). The hot day I was acquiring this particular gem, the flat sandals with the gold embellishment kept my feet comfy and my toes cool. And check out this color palette...all the greens and blues reminded me of Picasso, not to mention vibrant greens always make a redhead look smashing!
So, back to my original point and tonight's lesson--what do Madisson and I have in common?
The dresses are different cuts, even our shoes are different--now, if you say we're both incredibly FABULOUS.....you're half right :)
The answer is, both these outfits have confidence in common--both of us look great and we both feel it. Take a moment to enjoy feeling great in something. Think of your favorite outfits like empowering armor, making your chin sit a little higher and your shoulders more square.
If you don't own a dress that makes you feel like you could take over the world ladies....
Guys, if you don't have a suit that makes you feel so sharp you could cut glass, well then kids:
INVEST already!! I'm referring of course, to the same excuse I always hear: "I don't have anywhere to wear that...".....or......"I don't get 'dressed up' for work".....seriously? So when exactly is your life going to happen for you?
If you look at your entire life as a long flatlined streak with nothing along the way at all momentous enough along the way to warrant a dress (ahem....ladies....), or a nice shirt (gentlemen....no looking down, I see you, keep reading).....then what are you doing here? You're not living.....so invest in your life Kids--it's happening, right now, all around you.....whether you're an active participant or not!!
Next up: custom color--there's no way o get a makeup palette made from quality ingredients, in customized shades just for me. Or is there?.....
